NEWS & NOTES
•The Explorers are coming off a three-game homestand that concluded with a 78-67 loss to Rhode Island at Tom Gola Arena on Saturday.
•Four players reached double figures in the scoring column for La Salle, led by 14 points from sophomore David Beatty.
•Beatty shot 4-for-5 from three-point range and is shooting 43.8 percent from deep through five A-10 games which leads the team.
•La Salle bounced back from a tough shooting night against George Washington (5-32 from 3), by hitting 10 of its 22 attempts from deep.
•In addition to Beatty, junior Saul Phiri connected on three triples and graduate student Pookie Powell knocked down a pair.
•Phiri had 12 points while Powell and freshman Jared Kimbrough each added 11. Kimbrough's total set a new personal high water mark for this seaon.
•The Explorers forced 18 turnovers which led to a 21-8 advantage in points off turnovers, but gave the Rams 34 free throw attempts (La Salle had 16).
•For the seventh time in nine games, La Salle tallied 10 or more steals in a game (11). Over that stretch of games, the Explorers have totaled 93 steals (10.3/game).
•On the year, La Salle is averaging 8.5 per game which ranks second in the Atlantic 10 and 22nd nationally.

SCOUTING FORDHAM
•The Rams have dropped all five of their Atlantic 10 games but have lost three of those contests by margins of five points or fewer.
•Most recently, a three-pointer by George Mason's Otis Livingston II with under a second remaining broke a 68-68 tie and propelled the Patriots to a three-point win.
•Freshman Nick Honor had 21 points while Saint Peter's transfer Antwon Portley added 13 for Fordham.
•Honor currently paces the Rams and leads all A-10 rookies in scoring at 16.1 points per game.
•Fordham is coached by La Salle alum Jeff Neubauer, who is in his fourth season at the helm of the program.
•Neubauer graduated from La Salle University with a degree in finance in 1993, and was an honorable mention GTE All-Academic honoree as a senior.

STOLEN PROPERTY
•La Salle is racking up steals at an impressive pace through the first 16 games of the year.
•The Explorers have two players who rank in the top six individually in the category (Traci Carter - 3rd; Pookie Powell - 6th), and stand second in the league at 8.5 per game.
•With at least 14 games remaining in the 2018-19 season, if you extrapolate the average steals per game through the rest of the year the Explorers will have 264 steals this year which would be the most since the 2012-13 Sweet 16 season (263).
