Explorers Fight Back to Earn 2-2 Draw with NJIT

PHILADELPHIA - Sophomore Connor Sweeney assisted on both goals as the La Salle University men's soccer team fought back to earn a 2-2 draw with the NJIT Highlanders Tuesday evening from McCarthy Stadium. • White carried the load for the Highlanders and tallied his second goal of the game and ninth of the year in the 20th minute to push NJIT ahead.
  • But Sweeney lined up for another cross attempt and found Bateman, who tied it up at 2-2 with his second goal of the year in the 67th minute.
  • In extra time, freshman goalkeeper Carlos Mora made three saves to preserve the 2-2 tie.
