NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Freshman Nikita Romanov has been named the Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon. He becomes the first La Salle men's golfer claim this honor since Dragon Theam last October and just the second since Andrew Reynolds in February 2016.
 
At the Matthews Auto Collegiate Invite, the rookie shot a 71 (-1) to finish tied for seventh overall out of 89 golfers. The event, which was originally scheduled to go two rounds, was cut short due to weather conditions.
