BURLINGTON, N.C. – The La Salle men's golf team concluded the Elon Phoenix Invitational on Tuesday with a team score of 292 to push its three-round total to 875 (+23).
ABOUT THE ELON PHOENIX INVITATIONAL:
- The event is taking place at Alamance Country Club in Burlington, N.C.
- The 6,867-yard course is a par 71.
- A total of 16 teams are competing with 97 golfers.
- A team's top four scores counted to the team's collective.
LA SALLE SCOREDCARD:
- Sophomore Parker Wine finished atop the Explorers' scorecard after a 74 (+3) on day two. Wine finished tied for 44th with a 216 (+3).
- Junior Ron Fischang fired a 77 (+6) for a two-day total of 221 (+8).
- Junior David Kim ended the invite tied with Fischang at 221 (+8) after Kim carded his best round of 72 (+1).
- Rookie Nikita Romanov also matched his career best with a 71 (E) in round three to push his score to 221 (+8).
- Freshman Karsen Rush rounded out the La Salle scorecard with a 223 (+10). Rush registered a 75 (+4) on Tuesday.
THE FIELD:
- Gardner -Webb claimed the team title with an 833 (-19).
- Jake Scruggs of Gardner-Webb finished atop the leaderboard with a 194 (-19).

La Salle concludes its fall season on Saturday, November 9 at the City Six tournament.
