SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS
  • La Salle opened its league season on Friday, Sept. 27 with an emphatic 3-0 victory at Davidson.
  • The Explorers used a pair of goals by freshman Beau Bakker and one other from senior Amanda Chapin to pick up the road win.
  • Chapin, who also added an assist, was named Co-Defensive Player of the Week by the A-10 after helping limit Davidson to just three shots over 60 minutes.
  • Senior Emma Provost, making her first start of the season in goal, registered a shutout after making one stop.
  • In a non-conference game on Sunday, the Explorers fought Appalachian State to a scoreless draw through the first half but ultimately fell, 1-0.
ABOUT SAINT LOUIS
  • The Billikens are 0-8 entering Friday's game, including an 0-2 mark in Atlantic 10 competition.
  • Most recently, SLU fell to last year's A-10 runner up VCU by a score of 2-1.
  • Grace Golembiewski found the back of the cage against the Rams, marking just the second time this season that Saint Louis had scored a goal.
  • Last year, SLU defeated La Salle in a penalty shootout, snapping a 10-game winning streak in the series by the Explorers.
ABOUT LOCK HAVEN
  • The Bald Eagles are 2-0 in Atlantic 10 play and will play No. 10 Saint Joseph's on Friday, prior to making their way to Hank DeVincent Field.
  • LHU has won two thrilling games in league play thus far, both in shootouts against Richmond and Davidson.
  • The two teams have three common opponents this season, with the Explorers holding a 2-1 record against LIU, Davidson and Appalachian State.
  • Lock Haven is 1-2 against those three teams, with its most recent result being a 1-0 loss to the Sharks on Sept. 29.
