PHILADELPHIA – Coming off a 1-1 start to A-10 play, volleyball is home for the first time this season with a pair of matchups. La Salle (6-7) will host George Mason on Friday night and George Washington on Sunday afternoon. Friday's match will be streamed on ESPN+.
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
- Despite its 1-1 record from last weekend, La Salle comfortably won most statistical categories. The Blue & Gold out-killed its opponents 104-84, out-dug them 111-98, out-assisted them 97-78, and out-aced them 10-4.
- The Explorers come into the weekend ranked first in the conference in assists per set (12.79) and kills per set (13.66). Their 1.60 aces per set is second in the A-10 behind only George Washington.
- Senior Kathryn Wood is La Salle's top national presence with 10.13 assists per set, good for 64th in the country and second in the A-10.
- Freshman Rachel Hess is fourth in the conference in digs per set with 4.36—the highest rookie mark in the A-10.
SCOUTING THE PATRIOTS
- George Mason is 4-9 this season with a 0-1 mark in conference play. The Explorers are currently on a two-game winning streak against the Patriots.
- The Patriots don't have a ton of high-ranking marks in conference play, but they are third in blocks per set with 2.33.
- Sophomore Erin Derick is the team's highest ranking player in A-10 action, checking in at fourth in the conference with 8.77 assists per set. Freshman Stephanie Der is the second-ranked freshman in the A-10, behind Hess, with 3.82 digs per set.

SCOUTING THE COLONIALS
- George Washington comes into the weekend with a 7-7 record overall and 1-0 in A-10 action. La Salle does not have a stellar recent history against this team, but they did win the most recent matchup last October.
- The Colonials are top in the conference in aces per set (1.66), as well as second in blocks per set (2.46).
- George Washington has one of the most attacking-minded players in the nation in senior Skylar Iott, who is first in the conference and sixth in the NCAA in attacks per set with 12.92. Iott also checks in at third in the A-10 in kills per set (3.69) and points per set (4.26).
