PHILADELPHIA – Swimming & diving resumes its stretch at home this weekend, hosting NJIT and Stony Brook on Saturday. The double dual will start at 11 a.m.
MEET NOTES
- The Explorers are coming off their first home meet of the season in which the women defeated Rider and lost to Delaware, while the men's team fell to the Blue Hens and Broncs.
- The men were led by senior Norm Gregory, sophomore Ian Venter and freshman Sam Henninger in the last tri-meet, who all recorded first-place finishes.
- Gregory took first in the 200 Free, Venter's top finish was in the 200 Back and Henninger tallied the most points in the 1-meter dive.
- On the women's side, senior Emily Wolbert and sophomore Phoebe Shaya each collected first-place results. Wolbert's top time came in the 200 Fly and Shaya topped all competition in the 3-meter dive.
SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS
- NJIT's men's team has gotten off to a rapid start with a 4-1 record.
- The Highlanders won four straight before falling to UMass in their last meet.
SCOUTING THE SEAWOLVES
- Stony Brook's women's team also began its 2019-20 campaign well with a 3-2 record.
- The Seawolves defeated Sacred Heart, LIU and Siena, while most recently falling to Vermont.
