PHILADELPHIA – Lacrosse enters its second season under head coach
Katie Rhodes Abbott and will look build upon the debut campaign of 2019. Rhodes Abbott announced the upcoming season's schedule on Wednesday with a mix of new and familiar opponents.
The Explorers begin 2020 with four straight road games. The season opener takes place at Manhattan on February 7th, they'll then jump to Yale on the 15th and Bucknell a week later. La Salle has never faced the Ivy League side and hasn't gone up against the Bison since 2008. The Blue & Gold makes its return to Philadelphia for a Big 5 matchup at Temple on the 25th, before closing out February with a home opener vs. Radford four days after.
The month of March also starts off with away contests at Lehigh on the 3rd, who the Explorers last faced in 2009, and LIU on the 7th. The following Saturday, La Salle hosts Drexel at noon to wrap up non-conference play. The A-10 slate begins with Davidson away on the 20th and VCU two days later. The subsequent weekend, the Explorers close the month with home contests vs. St. Bonaventure and St. Joseph's.
La Salle's home stretch of 2020 begins at home with George Mason on April 3rd and Duquesne on the 5th. Then, the regular season concludes as it began: road games at Richmond on the 9th and George Washington on the 11th, followed by the season finale at UMass a week later.
The A-10 Championship begins on the 23rd and concludes on the 26th with the tournament taking placing at VCU.
