PHILADELPHIA – Swimming & diving hosts its first home meet of the season on Saturday, welcoming Delaware and Rider to Kirk Pool. Action begins at 10 a.m.
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
- Both teams had good finishes at the A-10 Classic last weekend. For the men's side, senior Norm Gregory and freshman Sam Henninger headlined with a pair of first-place finishes each. Gregory subsequently won A-10 Men's Performer of the Week and Henninger was voted as A-10 Men's Rookie of the Week.
- Additionally, sophomore Zachary Wolbert also had a first-place finish in the 200 Fly, along with a pair of second-place results.
- For the women, sophomore Sara Rizzetto continued her sophomore surge in Geneva with a first-place result in the 200 Back.
- Classmate Phoebe Shaya took the top spot in the 3-meter and finished second in the 1-meter.
SCOUTING THE BLUE HENS
- Delaware's teams have gotten off to contrasting starts with the women beginning their campaign 2-1 and the men 0-3.
- The Explorers traveled to Delaware the last time the two teams faced each other. There La Salle's men's team defeated the Blue Hen's 185-101, while the women fell to Delaware 214-85.
SCOUTING THE BRONCS
- The men's team has gotten off to a 2-1 start to 2019, while the women have begun 1-2.
- The Broncs were in that same tri-meet with Delaware last year. Rider swept the Explorers as its men's team won 155-143 and its women's team 161-138.
