LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – The La Salle women's basketball team (6-4) stumbled on the road Saturday afternoon at Rider (4-2), 70-43.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Rider started the game with a 7-0 spurt before La Salle found the scoreboard with a three from junior Deja King. The Broncs extended its lead to 12-3 at the media break at 4:57. Rider ended the frame with a 19-7 lead.
• The Broncs kept the pressure up to start the second stanza as they outpaced the Explorers 7-3 over the first 5:36. The Blue & Gold significantly cut the deficit with a 13-3 advantage over the remainder of the half. Rider held a 29-20 lead at the midway point.
• The home team held a slight edge in the third, 16-12.
• Rider owned the final stanza to seal the game.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• King led the team with 12 points on 3-of-5 shooting.
• Freshman Claire Jacobs ended with six points.
• Rookie Jordon Lewis led the rebounding efforts with a career high 11 boards.
