PHILADELPHIA – After winning five league titles during the indoor season, the La Salle University men's track and field team will look for even more titles this weekend at the Atlantic 10 Conference Outdoor Championships.

WHO TO WATCH
- Anthony Hawthorne – Junior – 800m
- Hawthorne has the fastest time in the 800-meter run this year, running in 1:49.46 at the Florida Relays and earning A-10 Track Performer of the Week for his efforts. He also ran a personal best 3:58.41 in the 1,500 meters at the George Mason Spring Invitational.
- During the indoor season, Hawthorne won two gold medals at the A-10 Championships in the 800 meters and 4x800 relay and defended his 800-meter crown at the IC4A Championships as well. Hawthorne won both the 800 and 4x800 at last year's outdoor championships as well and went on to reach the NCAA Championships.
- Dennis Manyeah – Sophomore – High Jump
- Manyeah has been a force to be reckoned with in his first season with the team. He has two wins in the high jump already this spring and posted a personal best jump of 2.09 meters to win the George Mason Spring Invitational. That mark is second best in the A-10.
- The high jumper is no stranger to conference titles, claiming gold in the high jump at the A-10 Indoor Championships with a leap of 2.07 meters.
- Darian Alston – Junior – Triple Jump
- Another newcomer on the team, Alston has had a sensational year in the field as well. Alston took home victories in the triple jump at the Fred Hardy Invitational and Sam Howell Invitational this outdoor season. His mark of 15.11 meters ranks second in the A-10.
- Alston broke the school triple jump record during the indoor season on his way to an Atlantic 10 gold medal with a leap of 15.20 meters.
- Chris Lewis – Freshman – 100m Dash & 200m Dash
- Lewis got off to a scorching start this outdoor season, winning each of his first three outdoor races in the 100- and 200-meter dash. His 100-meter time of 10.77 seconds ranks sixth in the league, while his 200-meter time of 21.73 seconds ranks fourth.
- The rookie sprinter earned All-Rookie honors at the A-10 Indoor Championships after placing third in the 200 meters and fourth in the 60-meter dash.
- Others to keep an eye on:
- Nick Smart – Graduate Student – 800m
- Smart has the third fastest time in the 800 meters this outdoor season, running in 1:51.31 to win the event at the Fred Hardy Invitational. He was also a member of both 4x800 relay teams that won gold at last year's A-10 outdoor meet and this year's indoor championship.
- Luke Jaciw-Zurakowsky – Sophomore – 1,500m
- Jaciw-Zurakowsky ran a personal best 3:56.07 to win the 1,500 meters at the Fred Hardy Invitational. He was also a member of the A-10 Indoor 4x800 relay team that won gold.
- Ibrahim Kedir – Freshman – 5,000m
- After redshirting the indoor season in the aftermath of a standout cross country season, Kedir brings a new element to the distance events. He ran the 5,000 meters in 14:30.19 at the Penn Relays.
- Ache Hall – Junior – 110m Hurdles & 400m Hurdles
- Hall brings strength in both the 110- and 400-meter hurdles, and he ranks sixth in the A-10 with a time of 14.62 in the 110 hurdles.
- Ryan James – Sophomore – 3,000m Steeplechase & 5,000m
- James, an All-Rookie performer during the indoor season, ranks in the top 10 in the league for both the 5,000 meters and 3,000-meter steeplechase.
