Jeff Brady had the hot hand in front of the net for the Explorers with five goals.
Fordham 15, La Salle 9
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Rams got off to a fast start, taking the opening quarter 4-1. They continued that momentum into the second frame and by halftime, Fordham held a 12-2 advantage.
- The Explorers responded well and dominating the third quarter by shutting out the Rams 4-0. With the gap at six, La Salle was within striking distance but split the fourth quarter 3-3.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Tale of two halves: it was a drastically different look to the game between the two periods. La Salle came on late and outscored the Bison 7-3 in the second half.
- The Explorers didn't receive an offensive outburst from any one player in this game. Sophomore Tyler Williams led the team with two goals, while seven other Explorers got on the scoresheet once.
- Junior Ash Lyne was among the goal scorers for La Salle and had himself a well-rounded game. The number 10 assisted once, tallied a steal and two blocks.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The home side jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead, but La Salle fought back through goals from senior Joey DeFusco and junior Daniel Domotor. The Bison nipped one at the end and held a two-goal advantage after the first period.
- Again, the Bison found fortune in the early going and stretched the score to 6-2. Brady scored for the Explorers, Bucknell hit for two more, but La Salle canceled out that response with two scored of its own.
- Up by three at the half, the Bison continued their trend of scoring early when play commenced. This time, they barraged the Explorers for five unanswered. Brady hit back, but Bucknell scored again and La Salle trailed 14-6 going into the final frame.
- The Explorers found the back of the net in the fourth, but it was too late. The away side outscored Bucknell 4-2 but could not bridge the gap.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Brady was the leading man in this game for the Blue & Gold, tallying four goals. Domotor was second with a brace.
- La Salle's number seven paced the team in steals with three, while DeFusco was the team's top provider with a pair of assists.
- In net, freshman Adriano Zunino recorded five saves on 13 shots while also adding an assist.
UP NEXT
- Conference play continues for the Explorers as they begin the weekend away at Wagner on Saturday before returning home on Sunday to face George Washington and Johns Hopkins. The morning game at 11 a.m. against the Colonials will also be Senior Day and La Salle's Fall Tailgate Series.
