PHILADELPHIA – For the second-consecutive weekend, La Salle men's and women's swimming & diving are back in action when they head to Newark, Del. to take on both Delaware and Rider on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 12 p.m.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- The women's team won their first dual of the season, beating Seton Hall 161-136 on Nov. 6 at Kirk Pool.
- Sara Rizzetto and Toni Rafferty led the way for the Explorers, as they each picked up three individual wins to accompany a 200-yard medley relay victory.
- Lauren Fenn also picked up an individual win for La Salle.
- On the diving board, Phoebe Shaya took the top spot in both the one-meter and three-meter dive to continue her dominant start to the season.
- The men's team also faced Seton Hall on Nov. 6, falling by a final of 173-126.
- Zachary Wolbert continued his strong start by picking up an individual win along with two relay victories.
- Alex Kuriawa and Trenton Burr each added wins themselves for the Explorers.
SCOUTING THE BRONCS:
- Rider's women's swimming & diving is off to an 0-3 start to their season.
- The Broncs have faced a common opponent, falling to Seton Hall 88-174. Rider has also dropped duals against Lehigh, 219-60 and Marist, 125-163.
- The men's side is off to a 3-0 start, beating Seton Hall, Lehigh and Marist.
- Their most recent outing came against MAAC foe Marist, where they won 169-125 on the road.
SCOUTING THE BLUE HENS:
- Delaware swimming & diving got off to a 3-0 start, beating John Hopkins, UMBC, and George Mason to open their season.
- The Blue Hens also split a pod meet against UNC Wilmington and William & Mary in a pair of CAA clashes.
- On the women's side, Delaware also got off to a 3-0 start before falling in both pod duals against UNC Wilmington, James Madison and William & Mary.
- The Blue Hens fell 244-108 to the Seahawks, while losing 252-100 to the Dukes.
