PHILADELPHIA – In a heavy rain Sunday night, the La Salle women's soccer team (3-0) shutout Drexel (1-2), 1-0, for its third straight win to start the spring 2021 campaign.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• La Salle's lone goal came during the 48^th minute of play on a successful penalty kick by senior Jenna Soriano.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Junior Jillian DeSantis (1-0) made her collegiate debut to pick up the shutout victory with six saves.
• Drexel held a one-shot advantage (12 to 11) and the edge in corner kicks (7 to 1).

UP NEXT:
La Salle is scheduled to return to action on Friday at UMass to begin league play.
