PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team (4-1-0, 1-1-0 A-10) picked up its first conference victory on Thursday afternoon with a 1-0 shutout of Rhode Island (0-5-2, 0-1-2 A-10).
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• It was a scoreless game through the first half of play.
• Redshirt-junior Molly O'Brien tallied the game winner from about 35 yards out after senior Amirah Louketis chipped the ball back to her and the Rhody goalie was out of the box after defending Louketis.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• O'Brien's goal was the first of the season, while Louketis' assist was also her first.
• Redshirt-freshman Jordynn Stallard (3-1-0) picked up her third victory and shutout with four saves on seven shots faced.
