PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team (5-1-0, 2-1-0 A-10) picked up its second conference win of the season on Sunday with a 3-2 victory over Saint Joseph's (2-4-2, 1-1-0 A-10).
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• La Salle found the back of the net 5:59 into the game as sophomore Leah Giles sent a corner kick into the box to find junior Alyssa Van Heurck for a header goal.
• The Hawks responded quickly at 7:38 with an Izzy Greene unassisted goal.
• Into the second half, senior Amirah Louketis drilled a shot past the keeper after redshirt-sophomore Camaren Cox fed her the ball during the 49^th minute.
• The Blue & Gold registered the eventual game winner during the 70^th minute when sophomore Emily Banashefski made a move in the box to send the ball over to freshman Kelli McGroarty. McGroarty laid out and headed the ball in for the score.
• Saint Joseph's added a score at 81:50 on a rebound shot.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• La Salle outshot the Hawks 20-8 and outpaced them in corners, 4-0.
• Van Heurck, Louketis, and McGroarty each registered a goal.
• Giles, Cox, and Banashefski all had one assist each.
• Redshirt-freshman Jordynn Stallard (4-1-0) picked up the victory. She made three saves on eight shots faced.
