PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team (5-1-0, 2-1-0 A-10) is set to host Fordham (1-2-1, 1-2-0 A-10) on Sunday for the squad's final home match of the season. The Explorers will recognize its seniors prior to the noon kickoff for Senior Day.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- La Salle returned to the United Soccer Coaches East Region rankings this week after defeating Rhode Island and Saint Joseph's last week to be slated eighth in the region.
- The Blue & Gold have scored 18 goals this season and only allowed three.
- Senior Amirah Louketis and rookie Kelli McGroarty lead the team with nine points each on four goals and one assist.
- A total of 15 Explorers have registered at least one point this season.
- In goal, redshirt-freshman Jordynn Stallard (4-1-0) has made all but one start on the season. She has allowed three goals for a 0.60 goals against average. The rookie has an 82.4% save percentage with 14 stops.
SCOUTING THE RAMS:
- Fordham has only played four games to this point in the season after its campus was shut down for a few weeks due to high COVID-19 case numbers.
- The Rams are coming off of a 2-1 double overtime victory against Rhode Island this past Thursday.
- Fordham has scored just three goals on the year and allowed its opponents five.
- Kristen Cocozza has two goals for four points to pace the team.
- Maria O'Sullivan has started all four games in net and holds a 1.28 goals against average with seven saves (58.3%).
