Men's Swimming and Diving | April 13, 2021
PHILADELPHIA – La Salle swimming & diving is set for the A-10 Championships this week, taking place from Wednesday, April 14th to Saturday, April 17th. The swimming portion will occur over all four days at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio, while diving events take place at George Mason's Aquatic and Fitness Center on the 15th and 16th. All events will be streamed on ESPN+.
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
- Last season, the men's team finished fourth at the A-10 Championships while the women's team finished ninth.
- In 2020, junior Sara Rizzetto set four school records, breaking marks in the 200 Free, 200 Back, 200 IM and 400 IM.
- Junior Phoebe Shaya collected a bronze medal in the three-meter dive.
- Junior Zachary Wolbert will look to add to his collection of two silver medals from last year, finishing on the podium in the 400 IM and 200 Fly. In the latter event, he set the school record.
- Senior Daniel Johnson also touched second for a medal in a thrilling 200 Free comeback.
- Sophomore Sam Henninger looks to eclipse what he managed as a rookie when he dove to bronze in the 1-meter.
