PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team (5-2-0, 2-2-0 A-10) looks to avenge a 1-0 loss to Massachusetts (5-3-1, 4-1-1 A-10) from earlier this season on Saturday night. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. with the game airing nationally on ESPN+.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- La Salle slipped to 10th in the United Soccer Coaches East Region after falling to Fordham last weekend.
- Senior Amirah Louketis and rookie Kelli McGroarty lead the Explorers with nine points each on four goals and an assist.
- A total of 15 different Explorers have tallied a point this season.
- La Salle has scored 18 goals on the year and allowed just four.
- Redshirt-freshman Jordynn Stallard (4-2-0) has led the Blue & Gold in net. She has a 0.67 goals against average with three shutouts and 15 saves on 78.9% save percentage.
SCOUTING THE MINUTEWOMEN:
- UMass is ranked ninth overall in the United Soccer Coaches East Region, one spot ahead of La Salle.
- The Minutewomen claimed a 1-0 victory at McCarthy Stadium on March 14 when Hannah Peric scored in the final minute of regulation.
- Massachusetts lost its most recent game against Saint Joseph's 1-0.
- UMass is outpacing its opponents 7-6 this year.
- Peric leads the team with four points and is one of seven different student-athletes to score a goal.
- Alyssa Chase has seen the most action in net this season with seven start. She has a 1.00 goals against average and 21 saves with a 77.8%.
