PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer program (0-1) is looking for its first win of the season this weekend as it takes on UConn (1-0) on Thursday at 7 p.m. and hosts Colgate (1-0) in the home opener on Sunday at 2 p.m.
 
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:

• La Salle enters play at 0-1 after falling to #10 Penn State in the season opener, 4-0.
• The Blue & Gold played a scoreless second half against the nationally ranked Nittany Lions.
• Redshirt-sophomore Jordynn Stallard (0-1) picked up the loss and allowed all four goals with three saves.
• Rookie Michela Auguadro played the second half against PSU and made four saves on 11 shots faced.
• The Explorers are returning 76% of its scoring from last season and hope to find the back of the net in both games.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES:

• UConn won its season opener against Central Connecticut State, 2-1.
• Jada Konte and Duda Santin scored a goal apiece for the Huskies.
• Kaitlyn Mahoney played the complete game in net and make four saves on seven shots with the one goal allowed.

SCOUTING THE RAIDERS:

• Colgate is 1-0 overall after an opening day win over Fordham, 1-0. The Raiders also host Eastern Michigan on Thursday before coming to McCarthy Stadium on Sunday.
• Ally Giovino scored the lone Colgate goal on the season.
• Grace Poncsak faced six shots on the day, saving all three on net.
