PHILADELPHIA – La Salle field hockey (4-6, 0-2 A10) returns to host their first home conference game against Saint Louis on Friday, Oct. 1 before heading back on the road to face Georgetown on Sunday, Oct. 3 in Washington, D.C.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- Following a three-game road trip, La Salle returns home to Hank DeVincent Field where they hold a record of 4-1 this season.
- Freshman Sofia Pla leads the Explorers with seven goals, including three game-winning strikes.
- Sophomore Tatum Johnson has compiled 14 points, scoring six goals with two assists.
- 12 different Explorers have tallied points for the balanced La Salle offense averaging 2.00 goals per game
- Sophomore Ryan Curley has made all 10 starts for La Salle, ranking sixth in country with 7.00 saves per game, and third in country in total saves (70).
- The Explorers have been held scoreless in just two games this season, while scoring at least three goals on three separate occasions.
SCOUTING THE BILLIKENS:
- Saint Louis enters play with a record of 1-9, including an 0-2 mark in A-10 play.
- The Billikens have conceded 42 goals in 10 games, while scoring 11.
- Saint Louis averages 10.0 shots per game, while allowing 17.3 per contest.
- Josefina Perez and Demi Sahuleka each lead the team with five points.
SCOUTING THE HOYAS:
- Georgetown enters the weekend with a record of 4-5, including 0-2 in conference play.
- The Hoyas have averaged 1.22 goals, while conceding 1.78 per game.
- In their last outing, Georgetown defeated Brown in a thriller, winning 2-1 in penalty strokes.
- Ali Cronin leads the team with eight points, courtesy of two goals and four assists.
