La Salle falls to Loyola Chicago on the Road

CHICAGO, IL. – The Explorers men's soccer team dropped a match to Loyola Chicago 4-2.
 
La Salle will now be 3-7-4 on the year, and 2-2-2 in conference. Loyola Chicago will now have a 6-2-4 record overall and a 2-2-2 in conference record.
 
How it Happened –
  • Loyola Chicago got the scoring started in the sixth minute of the match with a goal by Oscar Dueso after a Rambler corner kick.
  • In the 12th minute, Omari Cotterell found Nigel Buckley in the Loyola box, who then put the ball past the goalkeeper to tie the game at one goal apiece.
  • The Ramblers took the 2-1 lead in the 24th minute after Billy Hency converted on a penalty kick shot.
  • Loyola came out after halftime and put a goal on the board in the 45th minute. Alex Moskal found a centering pass and put it in the net to give the Ramblers the 3-1 lead.
  • Alex Moskal notched his second goal in the 52nd minute putting Loyola up 4-1.
  • Giammarco Rodio snuck the ball past the Loyola goalkeeper making the score 4-2 in the 82nd minute.

  • Nigel Buckley added to his goal total on the year with six.
  • Loyola led 22-10 in total shots taken in the game
  • La Salle took five corner kicks opposed to the Rambler's three.
  • There were 26 total fouls on the night, 14 by La Salle and 12 by Loyola Chicago.
