NEW YORK - The La Salle women's soccer team fought back from a pair of one-goal deficits to earn a 2-2 draw at Columbia on Wednesday evening. Shea Collins and Alyssa Gargiulo found the back of the net for the Explorers, who concluded their non-conference schedule with the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Columbia opened the scoring in the 36th minute, as a miscue by the La Salle defense allowed Annie Diaz-Silveira to poke the ball into the back of the net.
• The score remained the same into the second half, when Collins struck with the equalizer in the 54th minute.
• A free kick in the 78th minute led to the Lions regaining the lead, as a scrum in front of the net that resulted in a goal from Mia Ferrentino.
• Just 36 seconds later, a foul in the box by Columbia resulted in a penalty kick chance for La Salle.
• Gargiulo stepped to the spot and converted her fourth PK of the season to knot the score at 2-2.
• The 84th minute produced a prime chance for the Explorers to take the lead for the first time, but a shot from 20 yards out by Kelli McGroarty caromed off the crossbar and away from goal to keep the score tied.
