Men's Swimming and Diving | November 10, 2022
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Men's and women's swimming and diving will hold a tri-team meet at Kirk Pool on Friday, November 11
th at 6 p.m. against Delaware and Rider.
The men will enter Friday at 0-2 and the women are coming in at 1-1 after their win against Seton Hall.
Scouting the Explorers (Women) –
- Women's swimming and diving got their first win of the season against Seton Hall with a score of 166-134.
- Rosalia Marin-Martinez competed in three events against Seton Hall and earned first-place in all of them.
- Gabby Herbreder continued to impress in her second meet with La Salle as she got the top spot in the 200-yard butterfly and breaststroke.
- Toni Rafferty and Carlota Ungo took first in the 100-yard freestyle and the 100-yard breaststroke, respectively.
- Phoebe Shaya got first-place in the three-meter dive and the one-meter dive against Seton Hall.
Scouting the Explorers (Men) –
- The men fell to Seton Hall in their last meet 183-116.
- Felix Jedbratt got his first win for the Explorers this season after winning the 100-yard freestyle.
- Tarik Gusic won the 200-yard backstroke against Seton Hall.
- Zack Wolbert won the 400-yard IM, continuing his strong start to the season.
- Sam Henninger took the top-spot in the one-meter and three-meter dive against Seton Hall.
Scouting the Broncs –
- The Rider men enter the meet at 2-1 on the year, and the women come in at 0-3.
- The teams split against Marist in their last meet with the men winning 215-82 and then women losing 194.5-105.5.
- The Bronc men won 13 events against Marist including a win in the 200-fly by junior Bobby Irwin.
- Sean Binning and Marcas Racevicius swept in the diving events against Marist.
- The Rider women won four events against Marist which included Maddie McSorley in the 100-meter fly.
Scouting the Blue Hens –
- The Delaware men come into the meet at 3-0 on the season, while the women come in at 4-0.
- The men recently competed and won against William and Mary with a score of 208-84, and the women faced William and Mary as well as James Madison winning 161.5-135.5 and 173.5-117.5, respectively.
- The Blue Hen men took first place in five freestyle events against William and Mary, including a win by Matvei Namakonov in the 50-yard free.
- Kevin Siegfried won in both the one-meter and three-meter diving events.
- For the women, Mira Selling got first place in the 200-yard freestyle, while Alex Pastris got first in the one-meter diving in their last meet.
