Men's Swimming and Diving | November 19, 2022
Lewisburg, Pa. – La Salle swimming and diving finished the first day of competition at the Bucknell Invitational yesterday and had some historic finishes along the way. After the first day of the meet the women stand in third place overall with 311 points, and the men are seventh overall with 160.50 points.
Swimming Update:
- A La Salle school record was broken by the team of Emma van Selm, Toni Rafferty, Tori Fenn, and Gabriela Herbreder in the women's 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:32.55.
- Herbreder continued to break school records by swimming a time of 1:58.52 in the women's 200-yard IM.
- In the women's 50-yard IM La Salle's Herbreder, van Selm, and Rafferty finished first, second, and third, respectively.
- In the men's 500-yard freestyle George Williamson took fourth overall with a time of 4:29.70.
- Zack Wolbert earned sixth place in the men's 200-yard IM swimming at a 1:50,67 pace.
Diving Update:
- Phoebe Shaya is continuing to perform in any event she's in, as she took first place overall in the women's three-meter dive with a score of 281.95.
- Sam Henninger took fifth in the men's three-meter dive with 275.85 points.
