Men's Swimming and Diving | November 20, 2022
Lewisburg, Pa. – La Salle swimming and diving competed over the past three days in the Bucknell Invitational. The women's team finished fifth overall with 984 total points beating out A-10 member Davidson College. The men finished in seventh place scoring 607 total points.
Final Swimming Update –
- George Williamson continued his strong showing in this invitational in the men's 1650-yard freestyle by finishing in second place.
- In the women's 200-yard backstroke Gabriela Herbreder got the third spot with a time of 1:59.77.
- The women's 100-yard freestyle had two Explorers finish within the top five. Emma van Selm finished second with a time of 50.73 and Toni Rafferty finished fourth at a pace of 51.11.
- Felix Jedbratt swam to a fifth-place finish in the men's 100-yard freestyle in 45.03 seconds.
- The team of Emma van Selm, Toni Rafferty, Tori Fenn, and Gabriela Herbreder broke a La Salle team record in the women's 400-yard freestyle relay and got first-place in the event. The previous record was set at 3:25.00, but that was broken by this group at a pace of 3:22.69.
- In the men's 400-yard freestyle relay Zack Miller, Tarik Gusic, Zack Wolbert, and Felix Jedbratt finished in third place with a time of 3:02.82.
Final Diving Update –
- Phoebe Shaya is continuing her successful season with another first-place finish. She got the top spot in the women's three-meter dive with 286.05 points.

- The Explorers will return home for a match-up against the Villanova Wildcats on Tuesday, November 22nd at 1 p.m.
