PHILADELPHIA — The La Salle men's basketball team fought hard against Drexel on Saturday afternoon in their nationally televised game, but the Dragons came away with a 65-58 victory in overtime to hand the Explorers their first loss at Tom Gola Arena this season.

The loss put the Explorers at 5-5 on the season. In addition, the Explorers are 4-1 at Gola Arena this season.

  • The Explorers managed to tie the game four times over the next 15 minutes, including free throw from Gill with 2:30 left after converting a layup while he was fouled following an offensive rebound.
  • The Explorers had a chance to win the game with 22 seconds left following a Drexel five-second violation, but their shot just hit off the rim, forcing the game to go into OT.
