Steven Stasolla and
Zachary Wolbert each earned medals on Tuesday night as as the Explorers wrapped up day two of the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championships on Tuesday night.
Stasolla took the silver medal in the one-meter final with a score of 286.15 to earn the third medal of his four-year career at La Salle. Wolbert's personal-best time of 1:46.94 in the 200-IM was good for third, giving him the sixth medal of his standout career as an Explorer.
Through event 14, the men's team moved up to sixth place with 118 points. On the women's side, the Explorers currently rank ninth with 76 points.
HOW THEY FINISHED:
- After finishing fourth in the prelims on Tuesday morning, Wolbert was able to vault into third in the final. Tuesday's finish improved upon his previous-best of 1:47.38 which he set with a fourth-place finish in the 2021 Atlantic 10 Championships last April.
- The latest medal for Wolbert marks the fourth-consecutive season that he earned a medal in the conference championship, and the first in the 200-IM.
- Stasolla's second-place finish in the one-meter final was a career best for the senior, as he entered the meet with two bronze medals in his career.
- The Nazaerth, Pa. native's finals score of 286.15 marked an 18.40 point improvement to his third-place prelims score of 267.75.
- In the men's 200-yard freestyle relay, La Salle's team of Caleb Ingham, Zack Miller, Matt Brajuka, and Alec Fatta placed eighth with a time of 1:24.26.
- The women's team of Brynn Peterson, Lauren Fenn, Raven Domingo, and Anne Moser finished in 10th in the 200-free relay at 1:35.60.
