GENEVA, OH - Phoebe Shaya was named Atlantic 10 Diver of the Year, Sam Henninger and Zachary Wolbert both secured medals, and La Salle swimming & diving wrapped up the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championships on Saturday night at Spire Institute.
Wolbert's time of 1:45.69 earned him the silver medal in the 200-yard butterfly. The medal marked his third medal in three days, and the eighth of the senior's illustrious career as an Explorer.
In the three-meter dive, Henninger racked up 295.40 points to finish in third place and earn the second medal of his career.
In total, the Explorers accumulated seven medals across the men's and women's teams. Senior Phoebe Shaya notched the lone gold medal of the week for La Salle in the one-meter dive, while Wolbert led the team in total medals with three.
As a team, the men finished in sixth place with 242 points while George Washington took home the team title. In the women's championship, the Explorers placed ninth with 170 points while the Colonials also claimed the top spot in the women's Championship.
In addition, head diving coach Ian Forlini was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Diving Coach of the Year.

In the first final of the night, Anne Moser took 14th place in the 1650-free with a time of 17:09.60.

Jake Kramer followed with a 16th place in in the men's 1650-free, clocking in at 16:16.10.

Sara Rizzetto appeared in her second A-final in as many days, taking sixth in the 200-back at 1:58.3.

During his silver medal swim in the 200-fly, Wolbert dropped his prelims time by over two seconds to 1:45.69 for his third medal in as many days.

Liam McFadden competed in the B final in the 200-fly, clocking in 1:51.80 for his best career finish at the A-10 Championships.

After scoring a 271.05 in the three-meter prelims, Sam Henninger surged to a third-place finish with 295.40 points.

In the women's 400-free relay, Rizzetto, Brynn Peterson, Anne Moser, and Sam Boyes placed ninth with a time of 3:28.09.
