Women's Track and Field | March 27, 2022

RALEIGH, N.C. – The La Salle men's and women's track and field teams took the trip down south to compete at the Raleigh Relays over the weekend which saw four Explorers set new career-best times and three land in the top 50 nationally.
 
WHERE THEY FINISHED (MEN):

• Liam Rivard paced the men's side with the highest finish of the relays. He crossed the line in fifth in the 145-person field in the men's 800-meter. His time of 1:51.40 ranks 51^st in the NCAA.
• Ibrahim Kedir set a new career-best time in the men's 10K. He clocked in at 29:41.11 to take 54^th. The time currently ranks 60^th in the nation.
• Taonga Mbambo and Luke Jaciw-Zurakowsky both competed in the 223-person 5000m. Mbambo's career-best time of 14:26.27 put him in 88^th while Jaciw-Zurakowsky's time of 14:34.59 was good for 127^th.
• Dennis Manyeah was the lone Explorer to travel to Texas to partake in the Texas Relays. His high-jump performance of 2.05m landed him in 17^th in the event.

WHERE THEY FINISHED (WOMEN):

• El Macnini's time of 33:20.63 in the women's 10K not only marked a new career-best for the senior, but it also currently ranks fourth in the nation. She finished the race in fourth-place overall in the 85-person field.
• Liz Mancini recorded a new career-best time in the 5000m. She finished just shy of the top 20 in the 151-person field clocking in at 16:18.18 for 22^nd overall. The time also ranks 22^nd in the NCAA currently.
• Christine Mancini rounded out the top 10 in the 800m. Her time of 2:08.53 ranks 32^nd in the NCAA.
