PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The La Salle men's and women's track and field teams continue their local stint in Philadelphia tomorrow, Apr. 8 at the Temple Invite. The event will be available to stream on
Owls TV.
LAST TIME OUT (MEN):
- A split squad had great showings at both the Sam Howell Invitational and the Big 5 Meet last weekend. Liam Rivard led the charge for the Explorers claiming gold in the 800-meter with a time of 1:48.66. His performance ranks sixth in the nation, first in the Atlantic 10 and earned him the league's Track Performer of the Week honor.
- Freshman MacCallum Rowe saw his highest finish of the season taking home second in the 5,000m with a time of 14:28.43. The time ranks fourth in the A-10.
- Luke Jaciw-Zurakowsky landed on the conference leaderboard in the 1,500m. He clocked in at 3:48.07 to rank second in the A-10.
LAST TIME OUT (WOMEN):
- Christine Mancini finished in first place in the women's 1,500m. Her time of 4:22.19 currently leads the A-10 and earned her this week's Track Performer of the Week honor for the league. The time also places her at third all-time in program history for the event.
- Olabisi Adams led the charge from the field for the Explorers. She reached a mark of 5.86m in the long jump to take the top slot in the A-10 and rank second all-time at La Salle.
- Kasi Brown had two standout field performances over the weekend. She reached a distance of 5.81m in the long jump to rank third in the conference and third all-time in program history. Brown also cleared a height of 1.60m in the high jump to rank sixth in the A-10 and second all-time at La Salle.
