Philadelphia, Pa. – The La Salle women's soccer team announced its schedule for the upcoming 2022 season. The 17-game season is set to start on August 18 and includes eight total home matches.
The Explorers start their season by traveling to Seton Hall on Thursday, August 18. The game will kickoff at 6 p.m. The road trip continues to Baltimore County as the Explorers take on Towson on Sunday, August 21 at 7 p.m.
La Salle will face St. Francis (Pa.) on Thursday, August 25 starting at 6 p.m. in the first home match of the season. Continuing the homestand, James Madison will make its way up to McCarthy Stadium on Sunday, August 28 for a 6 p.m. matchup.
To start off the seven-game month of September the Blue & Gold will travel to New York on Thursday, September 1 to face Colgate at 6 p.m. Three days later the Explorers head back home to face UAlbany at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 4 followed by a 7 p.m. road game four days later on Thursday, September 8 against Rutgers.
The last 10 games of the regular season La Salle will go head to head with Atlantic 10 foes starting with Saint Louis at home on Thursday, September 15 at 7 p.m. The Explorers will then make their inaugural trip Chicago to face off with new A-10 member Loyola Chicago (9/18, 2:00 p.m. EST).
Coming back to Philadelphia on Thursday, September 22 the Explorers will take on George Washington at 6 p.m. followed by a road matchup at VCU on Sunday, September 25 at 2 p.m. The Explorers will face Duquesne at McCarthy to mark the first game of October on Sunday the second at 2 p.m.
The first leg of a two-game road trip begins at Fordham on Sunday, October 9 at 1 p.m. and then continues in Virginia against Richmond (10/13, 4 p.m.). The Blue & Gold will then take on cross-town rival Saint Joseph's on Sunday October 16 at 1 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium. La Salle will travel to George Mason for the final road match of the regular season on Thursday, October 20 at 7 p.m. before closing out the regular season altogether against Davidson at home three days later on Sunday, October 23 at 1 p.m.
