BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The La Salle women's cross country team opened up the season in a big way Friday evening, placing first in the Lehigh Invitational.
The Explorers totaled 53 points with a time of 1:51:25. The average time for La Salle was 22:17 in the 6K.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Mancini trio took the first three spots on the leaderboard with El Mancini leading the way. She finished first 21:21.4.
- Right behind her sister was Liz Mancini in second with a total time of 21:21.8. She averaged a 5:43 mile in the race.
- Junior Christine Mancini rounded out the top three with a time of 21:56.9.
- Maeve Gimbert served as a point scorer for the Explorers placing 13th with a time of 22:45.2.
- Jerika Lufrano rounded out the race for La Sale in 37th place recording 34 points with a time of 23:59.2.
UP NEXT:
- The Explorers get a two-week break before returning for the Main Line Invite at Haverford. Competition is set to start at 4:30 p.m.
