NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – El Mancini, from La Salle women's cross country, was named the Atlantic 10's Women's Cross Country Performer of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday.
 
The graduate student earns the honor after opening up the season in a big way at the Lehigh Invitational on Friday, Sep. 4. She placed first with a time of 21:21.4. The performance helped propel the squad to a team victory.
 
Mancini and the rest of the Explorers return to the course next Friday, September 16 for the Main Line Invite. Action is set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
