RICHMOND, Va. - La Salle Field Hockey is jumping back into action with a crucial A-10 matchup against VCU Friday. The match will start at 3 p.m.

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:

The Explorers are 10-4 (4-1 A-10) after coming off a dominant 6-1 victory against Saint Louis. Tatum Johnson recorded her first career hat- trick with all three goals coming in the second quarter in a seven-minute time span (34th, 35th, 41st).

The La Salle defense held Saint Louis to just two shots on goal the entire game.

With that win, the Explorers prolonged their winning streak to five. Clara Larippa also extended her goal-scoring streak to five games with the opening goal against the Billikens.

Larippa leads the Explorers in points (23) and goals (10). Johnson leads the team in assists with four and has 20 points.

La Salle Field Hockey are led by head coach Martu Loncarica. She is in her third season as head coach for the Explorers.

The Rams are 11-3 (4-1 A-10) after coming off a close 1-0 overtime loss to William & Mary.

VCU is 6-1 at home this season where they beat ranked opponent UMass.

Mora Marrero leads VCU in points (24) and goals (10). Marrero is tied with Morena Mocera for the lead in assists with four.
