RICHMOND, Va. - La Salle Field Hockey is jumping back into action with a crucial A-10 matchup against VCU Friday. The match will start at 3 p.m.

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS: 

• The Explorers are 10-4 (4-1 A-10) after coming off a dominant 6-1 victory against Saint Louis. Tatum Johnson recorded her first career hat- trick with all three goals coming in the second quarter in a seven-minute time span (34th, 35th, 41st).  

• The La Salle defense held Saint Louis to just two shots on goal the entire game. 

• With that win, the Explorers prolonged their winning streak to five. Clara Larippa also extended her goal-scoring streak to five games with the opening goal against the Billikens. 

• Larippa leads the Explorers in points (23) and goals (10). Johnson leads the team in assists with four and has 20 points. 

• La Salle Field Hockey are led by head coach Martu Loncarica. She is in her third season as head coach for the Explorers. 

SCOUTING THE RAMS: 

• The Rams are 11-3 (4-1 A-10) after coming off a close 1-0 overtime loss to William & Mary. 

• VCU is 6-1 at home this season where they beat ranked opponent UMass. 

• Mora Marrero leads VCU in points (24) and goals (10). Marrero is tied with Morena Mocera for the lead in assists with four. 

• The Rams have outscored their opponents by 20 across their games this season (33 goals for, 13 against).  

• VCU is led by head coach Stacey Bean. She is in her seventh year at the helm.
