DAVIDSON, N.C. — The La Salle women's soccer team will try to end the regular season on a high note by extending its unbeaten streak to nine games on Sunday when they face Davidson in its final Atlantic 10 Conference match at Alumni Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m.
The game will be televised on ESPN+. In addition, Explorers fans can follow the team on X @LaSalle_WSOC and Instagram @lasalle_wsoc.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS
- The Explorers (9-5-3, 7-1-1 A-10) are on their longest unbeaten streak since 2017 after playing Loyola Chicago to a scoreless tie Thursday at McCarthy Stadium. In that game, the Explorers outshot the Ramblers, 7-5, but could not find the back of the net.
- The Explorers are second in the A-10 with 22 points, trailing by three points to No. 22 Saint Louis (8-0-1, 25 points). A win against Davidson and a Saint Louis loss to Saint Joseph's on Sunday would allow the Explorers to earn a share of the A-10 regular season title, the program's first since 2017.
- The Explorers look to win their fifth game against the Wildcats since 2015. The Explorers had won four in a row against Davidson until the Wildcats claimed a 1-0 win last year.
- Haley Gschrey leads the Explorers in points (13) and goals (six). The junior forward is tied for fourth in the A-10 in goals.
- Elizabeth Estrada is tied for ninth in the A-10 in assists with four. The sophomore is only three assists behind four others for the conference lead.
- Ricshya Walker leads the team with 35 shots and 17 shots on goal. The sophomore forward ranks seventh in the A-10 in shots per game at 2.33.
- Junior Michela Auguadro leads the team in saves with 53 in 15 games of action. The junior goalkeeper has posted five shutout victories in net, with her five clean sheets good for sixth in the A-10.
- La Salle is led by Paul Royal, who is in his 21st season at the helm. Royal has a 208-158-40 record for the Explorers.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
- Davidson (4-10-2, 1-6-2 A-10) enters the contest 13th in the conference standings with five points after topping George Washington, 3-2, on Thursday for its first conference win of the season.
- The Wildcats are led by Savannah Pruitt and Aleia Gisolfi-McCready. Pruitt ranks first on the team in goals with three, while Gisolfi-McCready leads the Wildcats in shots (37) and shots on goal (16).
- Davidson is coached by Riley Piechnick, who is in her first season as head coach.
