HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Explorers started the scoring off early in the contest with a long three-point shot by Molly Masciantonio.
  • The Hoos, however, wasted no time in getting themselves into the game as Paris Clark and Kymora Johnson took over. Clark finished the first with eight points.
  • La Salle would not go away and kept it close in the second. Tiara Bolden opened the second frame of play with back-to-back offensive possessions with three-pointers, getting the Explorers within five points.
  • Johnson would continue to add onto her game total and would end the half with 12 points. The Cavaliers found themselves up 45-33 at the break.
  • Makayla Miller performed strong in her second straight game and picked up her play in the second half. The pull-up game of the graduate student guided her in the third quarter.
  • By the end of the third the Explorers found themselves down, but Miller finished with 13 points.
  • Miller helped the Explorers off the glass in the fourth, she ended the game with seven, leading the team.
