Baltimore, Md. – La Salle women's lacrosse lost to the UMBC Retrievers Tuesday afternoon in the final non-conference game of the 2023 season.
 
The Explorers will enter their next game in search of their first win on the year.
 
How it Happened –

• The Retrievers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead within the first three minutes of the contest.
• Katie Johnson answered for the Explorers to make it 2-1. This was Johnson's third goal of 2023.
• Alana Lathan continued her strong season in today's game by scoring the equalizing goal to make the score 2-2.
• After the La Salle found themselves down 3-2, Lathan scored her second goal of the first quarter to tie the game yet again.
• UMBC went on a 3-0 run before Tori Rolon scored to make it 4-6 with 6:30 left in the second quarter.
• A man-up goal by Mackenzie Click put La Salle down by a single goal with just under four minutes remaining in the half. The quarter with ultimately end with UMBC leading 8-5.
• Rolon scored her second goal of the game early in the third quarter to make it 9-6 UMBC.
• Maddie Henderson added to La Salle's total by scoring the seventh goal. UMBC led 10-7 with 8:10 left in the third.
• UMBC went on a 6-0 run before the Explorers scored their next goal.
• Tori Rolon secured her first hat trick of the season late in the contest. This is her 9^th game with three or more goals scored as an Explorer.

• Tori Rolon led the scoring on the day for La Salle with three goals.
• Maddie Henderson tallied four caused turnovers and four ground balls for the Explorers.
• La Salle went 13-19 on clears in the game.
• The Explorers led in ground balls having scooped up 19.
