PHILADELPHIA — The La Salle men's rowing team climbed up the national rankings on Wednesday, as it is ranked 23^rd in the Week 2 IRCA/IRA Coaches Poll.
 
The IRCA/IRA Coaches Poll ranks the Top 25 D1/D2 varsity 8+s, the Top 15 D3 varsity 8+s, and all varsity lightweight programs' top boat.
 
The Explorers are ranked 23^rd in the men's varsity 8+ after earning 43 points in the voting, moving up from 24^th in the country from the first poll of the season. They moved up after capturing a silver medal in the Men's Collegiate Varsity 8+ at the Murphy Cup by clocking a time of 5:45.25.
 
The Explorers will be back in action on Saturday when they compete in the Knecht Cup at the Cooper River in Camden, N.J.
