RICHMOND, Va. – La Salle lacrosse dropped a conference matchup to the Richmond Spiders, in a game where Alana Lathan scored a first-half hat trick.
 
How it Happened –

• La Salle got on the board early with a free-position goal from Alana Lathan. Her shot went underneath the stick of the opposing goalie.
• The Spiders then went on a 4-0 scoring run to get their way into the game after an early La Salle lead.
• Alana Lathan scored her second goal on a breakaway opportunity. She found herself in a one-on-one matchup with the goalie and then found the back of the net.
• Lathan then went on to pull La Salle within one goal with her third goal of the half. Her shot went past the goalie on her right making the score 4-3 Richmond.
• Richmond gained a larger lead before the end of the half after adding two more goals to make it 6-3 after the second.
• The Spiders went on a 7-0 scoring run before Ellen Stickney scored for La Salle.
• Mackenzie Click and Katie Johnson added goals for the Explorers in the final frame of the contest. Johnson's goal continues her streak of goals scored to six straight games.

• Alana Lathan scores three goals in this game, bringing her season total to 15 goals.
• Katie Johnson is on a six-game scoring streak in which she has totaled eight goals in that span.
• 12 of the Explorers 16 shots were on goal.
• Emily Varilla led the team with three draw controls.
• Lola Quigley and Alana Lathan each had three steals for La Salle.
