NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Atlantic 10 conference will play an 18-game women's basketball schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 season. The A-10 announced the team schedule pairings on Thursday.
The league annoucned the addition of two contests to the previously utilized 16-game format thus expanding the league slate to the largest in conference history.
The Explorers will play home and away against four opponents this season facing local A-10 and Big 5 rival Saint Joseph's in addition to VCU, Massachusetts and Fordham.
La Salle will also play host to Davidson, Dayton, Loyola Chicago, Rhode Island and Saint Louis. The Blue & Gold are set to pay visits to George Mason, George Washington, St. Bonaventure, Duquesne and Richmond.
The complete 2023-24 conference schedule with dates and times, as well as national television information, will be released at a later date. There will be 135 conference games this upcoming season with any given program playing every league opponent at least once as well as four teams twice. The 2024 Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship will be played March 6-10 at the Henrico Sports & Events Center in Henrico, Va., a first-time site for the league as well as third consecutive postseason at a neutral venue.
