PHILADELPHIA — Justyce Hollenbach scored a pair of goals, including one in the 86
th minute, to help the La Salle women's soccer team tie Temple, 2-2, on Sunday afternoon at Temple Sports Complex.
With the tie, the Explorers are now 2-4-2 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Explorers controlled most of the possession in the first half, taking four shots and drawing four corner kicks. Unfortunately, they could not find the back of the net as the game was scoreless at halftime.
- In the second half, the Explorers gave up a goal 30 seconds into play to fall into a 1-0 deficit.
- Five minutes later, Hollenbach scored her first career goal by booting the ball into the bottom left corner of the net off a pass from Giovanna Castorina to tie the game.
- Then, the Owls scored their second goal in the 77th minute to take a 2-1 advantage over La Salle.
- Nine minutes later, Hollenbach found the back of the net again off a rebound after Emily Banashefski had a shot hit the crossbar to tie the game.
- From there, the Explorers had one last chance to win the game after Ricshya Walker took a shot as time expired. Unfortunately, Walker's shot was saved, causing the game to end in a tie.
GAME NOTES
- Along with her first two career goals, Hollenbach finished the game with three shots, which surpassed her previous high of two that she had in the season opener against Towson.
- With her assist on Hollenbach's first goal, Castorina now has two assists this season and three assists for her career.
- Walker led La Salle with four shots. Elizabeth Estrada, Courtney Butlion, Caitlin Donovan, and Jillian Drumm each took one shot attempt in the game.
- Goalie Michela Auguadro paced the Explorers with six saves.

- The Explorers will begin Atlantic 10 Conference play next Sunday when they travel to the Midwest to face Saint Louis. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. ET.
