CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. – The Explorers have a packed weekend of play starting off with their first A-10 Conference game against Lock Haven (2-3) on Friday starting at 3:00 p.m. La Salle will then travel to face the No. 12 ranked Rutgers Scarlet Knights (6-0) on Sunday, September 17
th beginning at 1:00 p.m.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- La Salle is coming off a dramatic 4-3 victory over Villanova last Sunday. Sol Espona scored the game-winning goal minutes before the end of the contest.
- Espona is now tied at the top with four goals scored this season with Clara Larripa. The freshman holds the lead for points by an Explorer this season with ten.
- Tatum Johnson scored her second goal of the season against the Wildcats.
- La Salle has outscored their opponents 15-10 so far and will look to continue that this weekend.
- Emily Streib made the start in goal against Villanova and stopped nine shots total.
SCOUTING THE BALD EAGLES:
- Lock Haven enters tomorrow with a 2-3 overall record and is coming off a 2-1 loss to Ball State in a shootout.
- Brooke Hofsass and Constanza Lopez Zabala are each sitting at three goals scored this season, leading the Bald Eagles.
- Goalie Kelsey Felix has seen most of the action in net for Lock Haven and enters the contest with a 0.806 save percentage.
SCOUTING THE SCARLET KNIGHTS:
- The No. 10 ranked Rutgers will play host to La Salle on Sunday.
- The Scarlet Knights sit at 6-0 on the season before they take on the No. 12 Penn State Nittany Lions Friday.
- Puck Winter leads the scoring charge for Rutgers as she currently has six goals this year.
- Sohpia Howard has all six starts in goal and stands with a 0.800 save percentage.
