PHILADELPHIA - La Salle University Vice President for Athletics & Recreation Ashwin Puri has named Ivo Krakic the Director of Rowing, in addition to his title as head men's rowing coach.

Krakic, who has served as the head men's coach for the last two seasons, will work directly with new head women's rowing coach Brian Perkins on program development and operations.

"Ivo has proven during his time at La Salle that he is a winner, and is committed to the University," Puri said. "I believe strongly that Ivo's coaching philosophy and strong leadership will not only continue to benefit the men's rowing team, but also assist Brian's efforts with the women's program as well. The future is extremely bright for La Salle Rowing!"

A finalist for the IRA Coach of the Year, Krakic led the Explorers to an historic season in 2023. The Explorers earned silver in the Varsity 8+ at the Dad Vail Regatta, then closed the season with a strong showing at IRA National Championships, where it finished 18th. The Second Varsity 8+ also had a tremendous season, closing 16th nationally at IRA and just missing out on a medal at Dad Vails.
