WASHINGTON — The La Salle women's soccer team goes for its first win in Atlantic 10 Conference play on Thursday when they take on George Washington at GW-Mount Vernon Soccer Complex. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS
- The Explorers (2-5-2) are coming off a 4-0 loss to defending A-10 champion Saint Louis in their conference opener last Sunday at Saint Louis. In that game, the Explorers held the Billikens scoreless in the first half and tied with them in shots with five during the first 45 minutes before the Billikens scored all four of their goals in the second half.
- The Explorers look to win their 10th meeting against the Revolutionaries in their last 14 meetings. The Explorers have won the last two matches against GW, posting a 1-0 win in 2021 down in D.C. and a 2-1 victory last season at McCarthy Stadium.
- Elizabeth Estrada paces the Explorers in points (five) and assists (three). The sophomore is tied for sixth in the Atlantic 10 Conference in assists and leads the team in shots on goal with 10.
- Sophomore Richsya Walker and junior Haley Gschrey lead La Salle in goals with two apiece. Walker leads the team with 19 shots, while Gschrey ranks second with 14 shots.
- Sophomore Gabby Neal and junior Michela Auguadro have split goalkeeping duties this season. Neal is 2-1 in net in three starts and has registered seven saves. Auguadro leads the team in saves with 34 in seven games of action.
- La Salle is led by Paul Royal, who is in his 21st season at the helm. Royal has a 201-158-39 record for the Explorers.
SCOUTING THE REVOLUTIONARIES
- The Revolutionaries are 3-3-3 and 0-1-1 in A-10 contests after playing Fordham to a scoreless tie last Sunday at home. GW opened up A-10 play last Thursday with a 2-0 loss to Massachusetts on the road.
- Last season, the Revolutionaries went 2-5-3 against A-10 foes, finishing 11th in the conference standings.
- The Revolutionaries are led by Aoi Kataoka, Kate McGrath and Kelly Poole. Kataoka leads the team in points with eight on six assists and two goals, while McGrath (three goals, two assists) and Poole (two goals, three assists) have totaled seven points apiece.
- GW is coached by Michelle Demko, who is in her sixth season as a head coach with the Revolutionaries and in her 14th season overall. Demko, who also coached at UNC Asheville for eight seasons, has a 43-35-18 record with GW and a 94-131-24 career record overall.
