AMHERST, Mass. – Explorers field hockey will be on the road Friday to face the #18 ranked Massachusetts Minutewomen for their second game of conference play.

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- La Salle is coming off a 1-1 weekend which featured a 3-0 victory over Lock Haven in their opening conference game of the season.
- Julianna Smyth broke open the scoring for La Salle in the win, which ultimately would be the difference in the game.
- Goalie Emily Streib and the La Salle defense held strong against Lock Haven holding them to only one shot in the contest.
- The Blue & Gold took on #10 Rutgers on Sunday and fell 2-0. The game was well faught by La Salle, especially on the defensive end.
- The Explorers held Rutgers to a tie for their season low in shots taken with 15.
SCOUTING THE MINUTEWOMEN:
- The #18 team in the country enters tomorrow with a 5-3 overall record and a 1-0 record in conference games.
- In the season UMass has faced three ranked opponents and is 1-2 against them. Their win over #19 UAlbany was in double overtime.
- Mali Herberhold is the team-leader in goals scored this season (3), and points (8).
- Myrte van Herwijnen has seen the most action in goal this season starting five games. She enters tomorrow with a 0.688 save percentage.
