BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The La Salle men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete at the 49th annual Lehigh University Paul Short Run, presented by ASICS, on Saturday. Races are set to begin at 9:30 a.m.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS (WOMEN)
● The Explorers recently placed third at the Main Line Invitational after totaling 87 points.
●
Helene Usher has been leading the Explorers so far this season by placing 13
th at the Main Line Invitational with a time of 17:46.3 and finishing seventh at the Temple Owl Invitational with a time of 15:50.1.
●
Jerika Lufrano has also put together two top-20 finishes for La Salle so far this fall. The graduate student finished 20th at the Main Line Invitational with a time of 18:27.9 and took 11th at the Temple Owl Invitational with a time of 16:14.1.
● The Explorers last competed at the Paul Short Run in 2021, when they took 14
th in the meet.

Christine Mancini and
Julia Flood are the only returning Explorers to have competed at the Paul Short Run. Mancini ran a 21:25.7 as a junior and Flood crossed the finish line in 22:19.1 in her first 6k as a freshman that year.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS (MEN):
● The Explorers' best finish as a team so far this season was third at the Temple Owl Invitational.

Charlie Hazlett and Alex
Sandras have paced the Explorers so far on the trails. Hazlett took seventh at the Temple Owl Invitational and Sandras finished seventh at the Main Line Invitational.
● Last year at the Paul Short Run, the Explorers took 30
th out of 45 teams. Finn Bernie led the pack for La Salle, clocking a time of 23:49.8 in his first collegiate 8k.
