Princeton, NJ – The La Salle cross country teams compete in the Princeton Fall Classic at Princeton University Friday morning. Overall, the men finished in 26th place with a total of 646 points, and the women finished in 13th place in the college gold race, scoring 379 points.
Senior Charlie Hazlett finished first for the men's team, placing 113th overall with a time of 24:30 in the 8k race. Freshman Jacob Gardner was right behind him, getting 118th with a time of 24:33.1, followed by sophomore Malthe Bogebjerg with a time of 24:42.9, placing 132nd. Sophomore Dylan Stoneman was fourth for the team, finishing in 24:57.7 to get 162nd place, and junior Matt Hill rounded out the scoring for the team with a time of 24:59.7 to land in 170th place.
On the women's team, junior Gwenno Goode began the scoring, racing the 6k in 20:34.8 to get 21st place. Junior Helene Usher was the next finisher for the team, ending her run in 21:10.6 to get 58th place. Senior Neve Moulai finished 25 seconds later for a 91st place finish, followed by junior Stella Hammond who finished in 21:39.3 to get 102nd place. Sophomore Amelia Green was the fifth scorer for the Explorers, completing it in 21:59.1 for a 144th place finish.
La Salle returns to action next Friday when both teams race in the Haverford Invitational in Haverford, PA. The meet will start at 4:15 pm.
