PHILADELPHIA – La Salle women's soccer fell 4-1 in its final home game of the season on Sunday afternoon to the reigning A-10 champion Saint Louis Billikens. SLU scored two goals in the final four minutes to secure the victory.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Both teams came out firing, with Haley Gschrey and Sunni DiElmo darting shots toward the goal.
• SLU began to pepper the La Salle backline with shots, converting their first goal in the 24^th minute.
• After DiElmo nearly scored in the 29^th minute, the Billikens added a second goal as time expired in the first half.
• The Explorers broke through in the 51^st minute. Gschrey converted a free kick from just beyond the box to trim the advantage to one.
• Both keepers weathered several shot attempts as La Salle valiantly attempted to even the score.
• Saint Louis scored twice as the game wound down to secure the victory.

 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Michela Auguadro stopped five or more shots for the fourth straight game.
• Gschrey scored her 23^rd career goal and ninth of the season. She ranks 10^th all-time in career goals.
• Saint Louis was called for 14 fouls versus eight on the Explorers.
