Field Hockey Set for Two Road Matches this Weekend

PHILADELPHIA – La Salle field hockey is set for another A-10 Conference game this time facing the Spiders of the University of Richmond on Friday at 5:00 PM. Sunday, the Explorers will face the Longwood Lancers in Virginia at 12:00 PM.

SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
  • La Salle comes into the weekend with a 6-3 overall record, and a 1-1 in conference record.
  • The Explorers only played once this past week, topping Saint Louis 1-0.
  • Roos Pasveer notched her second goal of the season with it ultimately being the game-winning goal.
  • Pasveer joins Zhao Rodrigo, Shea Burns, Gabrielle LaCroix, and Sofia Pla as the top scorers on the team with two apiece.
  • Abby Boggs secured another win in net against Saint Louis. The sophomore enters the weekend with a .778 save percentage.
 
SCOUTING THE SPIDERS:
  • Richmond and first year head coach Martu Loncarica have gone 7-2 overall this season, with their only two losses being to nationally ranked opponents.
  • The Spiders have a 2-0 conference record, topping Saint Louis 3-2 and Davidson 5-4 in overtime this past weekend.
  • Another familiar face for the Explorers, Clara Larripa is taking over as one of the top players in the conference, one year removed from her time at La Salle.
  • Larripa and sophomore Valen Luna Paratore each have scored seven goals this season, with Larripa adding six assists.
  • Kristen Rake has started eight games in net and comes into tomorrow with a .785 save percentage.
 
SCOUTING THE LANCERS:
  • Longwood sits with a 3-5 overall record this season, and is 1-2 in MAC conference play.
  • The Lancers are sitting on a three-game skid, dropping their most recent contest to Ohio in a shootout.
  • Ball State is next on the schedule for Longwood which will be tomorrow afternoon at 12:00 PM.
  • Luna Priera leads Longwood in scoring with four goals this season.
  • Sophie Mooldijk has started six games for Longwood in 2024 and enters with a .764 save percentage.
